FIFA, the football governing body has expanded the 2026 men’s World Cup in North America to 12 groups of four brigades.
This is a change from the original 8 groups of 4 brigades.

The coming World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico will be the first to feature 48 brigades, a sharp increase from the 32 sides at last time’s event in Qatar.

The new decided format means the top two in each group will go through to the knockout round on with the eight stylish third- placed sides.
