Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable has been given 72 hours to report to the Ogun State Police Command.
Police said failure to do that will affect in his arrest.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, verified the development in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Oyeyemi said Portable had been informed to submit himself to the police or threat being arrested.
He also verified that Portable’s father had contended on his son’s behalf and promised to bring him to the station.
The PUNCH reports that two vids on Tuesday went viral showing the artiste cursing some officers of the Force in Ogun state.
In the clip, portable claimed that an internet fraudster had brought the police to his bar to arrest him and his staff members “ for no reason ”.
still, the Ogun state police prophet, Oyeyemi, explained that the police moved to arrest portable after five invites were transferred to him and another through his father, but he noway fete any of the process.
He further said the Zazu chorister was invited following a solicitation by a youthful plant proprietor who claimed that portable together with his helpers beat him to torpor and locked his plant.
Oyeyemi said, “ On entering the solicitation, an assignation letter was transferred to him five times but he refused to appear at the police station. Again, an assignation letter was transferred to him through his father; he still didn't come to the station.
“ The police didn't want a breakdown of law and order so his arrest was to be effected on Tuesday and now he started with all series of vids, saying all feathers of effects. His father has been soliciting but we've told him that if he( portable) refuses to turn himself in between now and Friday, he'll be arrested. ”
Meanwhile, The PUNCH reports that in 2022, Portable’s father had attended him to the Police Headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta, after the songster refused to recognize police assignation over alleged assault of a slice jockey in the Sango area of the state.
