Victor Osimhen has helped Napoli win their first Seria A title after 33 years.
He came the alternate Nigerian to win the Scudetto after Napoli’s major feat on Thursday night.
The Partenopei claimed their first Serie A title in 33 years after playing out a 1- 1 draw with Udinese at the Dacia Arena.
Obafemi Martins was the first Nigerian to achieve the feat with Inter Milan in the2005/06 season.
Osimhen not only won it with Napoli this time, he also played a vital part in the Partenopei’s palm.
The 24 years old has so far scored 22 pretensions and handed four assists in 27 league games this season.
The striker is now in contention to come the first African to win the Golden Boot in the Italian top- flight.
The Nigeria transnational now holds the record for the most pretensions in a Serie A season by an African player after erasing Samuel Eto’o’s old mark.
Osimhen is also now the common loftiest African goalscorer ever in Serie A( 46 pretensions).
He shares the record with former AC Milan forward George Weah, who's also now the chairman of Liberia.
