Captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa has reached a new corner.
He has now earned the most Nigerian transnational caps after playing against Guinea- Bissau in Nigeria’s alternate leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Monday, March 27.
The Djurtus of Guinea- Bissau were defeated 1- 0 by the Nigerian public platoon at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.
Musa made his Eagles debut in 2010 and was a member of the 2013 Nations Cup- winning platoon.
Following Monday’s match he has now amassed 108 caps, breaking the former record for Nigeria.
With this accomplishment, he has matched the 108 public caps held by England’s Tim Cahill, Germany’s Jurgen Klinsmann, and France’s midfielder Zinedine Zidane while surpassing Patrick Vieira’s 107 transnational caps for France, and Frank Lampard’s 106 caps for the Three Lions of England.
Since his debut, the Nigerian forward has scored 16 pretensions for the public platoon. He's also Nigeria’s loftiest arranger in the World Cup with four pretensions.
