According to Chichi, throughout their time together, Deji would assure her of his love but presented a different narrative to the public. She claimed Deji exploited her childhood experiences to make her believe that she was the one at fault each time they had an argument, causing her to question her own sanity and even consider seeking therapy. Chichi also mentioned how Deji would dismiss her concerns whenever she voiced them, claiming that she was overthinking things. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court has sentenced Nollywood actor and comedian, Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha to 16 years imprisonment over sexual assault. --Advertisements-- Justice Taiwo gave the judgment on Thursday adding that the jail term will run concurrently. Baba Ijesha is facing six counts of child defilement that include indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration. The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions, which proffered the charges against the actor, argued that the offences contravene Section 135, 137, 261, 202, 262 and 263 of the Lagos State Criminal Law 2015, which stipulates life imprisonment for offenders.  Baba Ijesha pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
