The Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday, April 16, blazoned a decree that changes the legislation regarding Omanis marrying nonnatives.



Omanis can now marrynon-Omanis without blessing or a permit from the government, according to the new decree.



The royal decree included seven papers with the first stipulating the cancellation of the former law authorising the issuing of vittles regulating the marriage of Omanis to nonnatives and making emendations to the legislation regulating Omani nation.



Below is the detailed decree with the advertisement correction



Composition( 1) cancels Royal DecreeNo.58/93 and annuls all opinions issued in perpetration of its vittles.



Composition( 2) states that the vittles of this decree shall not prejudice the vittles of the Islamic Sharia or public order or any provision cited in the laws, Royal rulings or applicable systems stipulatingnon-marriage to a outsider as a condition for enwrapping or continuing to enthrall certain public jobs of significance or special nature.



Composition( 3) stipulates that documents proving the cases of marriage of Omanis to nonnatives within the Sultanate of Oman shall be proved in agreement with the vittles of the applicable laws and Royal rulings. Foreign documents proving these cases of marriage are treated as sanctioned Omani documents after being authenticated by the competent authorities in the separate foreign country countries, as well as the Omani Foreign Ministry.



Composition( 4) validates the documents evidencing the marriage of Omanis to nonnatives that are issued by foreign sanctioned authorities before the date of entry into force of this decree — indeed though they might be in violation of the vittles regulating the marriage of Omanis to nonnatives in force at that time — on condition that those documents be authenticated by the Omani Foreign Ministry, and in a manner that doesn't contradict the provision of Composition( 2) of this decree.



Composition( 5) states that Units of the State's executive Apparatus and other public legal persons shall apply the vittles of this decree, each in their own areas of governance.



Composition( 6) repeals all that contravenes this decree or contradicts its vittles.



Composition( 7) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and executed from the day following its date of publishing.
